“As children develop, their brains "mirror" their parent's brain. In other words, the parent's own growth and development, or lack of those, impact the child's brain. As parents become more aware and emotionally healthy, their children reap the rewards and move toward health as well.” ― Dr. Daniel J. Siegel
This is exactly what the Inside-Out Projects seeks to address. Within a consortium of six partners from Ireland, Romania, Portugal, Spain, Cyprus and Italy, the Inside-Out Project aims to develop new educational resources and practices that builds on the capacity of parents and adult educators working with parents in our local communities. This way, all partners emphasise the importance of healthy relationships among local families who engage with their services and programmes and can offer the right tools and support needed to build such healthy relationships.
The Inside-Out project is funded through Erasmus+ programme of the European Commission as a KA2-project on Strategic Partnerships (Project number 2020-1-IE01-KA204-066036).
The participating partner organisations are Meath Partnership (IE) who coordinate the overall project, Spektrum Education Centre (SEC – RO), Dante (CRO), Enoros Consulting (CY), CO&SO (IT) and RightChallenge (PT). The achievement of the Inside-Out project aims and objectives are ensured through the implementation of the following outputs:
- Hybrid Curriculum for parents: Consists of a learning framework and a 12-module curriculum with videos
- In-service training handbook for educators: A handbook that supports adult educators
- MOOC: online learning portal: Online Learning Platform
